Welcome to Prairie View Community Church! Meet Reverend Richard and Sis. Robin Newton, a dynamic couple with a heart for spreading the Gospel and building a community of faith.
Reverend Richard Newton brings over three decades of ministerial experience to our congregation. His journey in ministry began in 1989 when he and Robin moved to Elmore City to assist in teaching and preaching at a small United Pentecostal Church. Over the years, Reverend Newton received local and general licensing, eventually serving as pastor until 1996. He then continued his ministry journey, serving as Assistant Pastor in Paoli for ten years before moving to Wynnewood in 2006 to serve as Assistant Pastor at the United Pentecostal Church. In 2018, he answered the call to pastor a newly formed independent Apostolic Church, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to serving God and his community.
Reverend Newton's passion for teaching the Word of God is evident in his commitment to home Bible studies. He believes in the power of small group settings to establish new believers in their faith, a conviction rooted in his own experience of coming to Christ through a comprehensive Bible study. This love for the Word of God has been the foundation of his many years of study and teaching, shaping his ministry and enriching the lives of those he serves.
Reverend and Sis. Newton share a belief in the principle of actively sharing the Gospel, wherever and whenever possible. They are committed to embodying the unity of the Church as the Bride of Christ, emphasizing love and fellowship as the defining characteristics of the Christian community. Through their ministry, they seek to build a church based on principles of community and communion, extending love and acceptance to all they encounter.
Outside of ministry, Reverend and Sis. Newton are deeply involved in their local community. Reverend Newton's background in the family business and Sis. Newton's extensive experience in accounting and leadership roles reflect their dedication to serving others in various capacities; Sis. Newton is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Human Relations. Together, they enjoy spending time with their family, including their three children, nine grandchildren, and several foster grandchildren. Family dinners and vacations are cherished moments for them to bond and create lasting memories.
As they embark on this new chapter of their journey with Christ, Reverend Richard and Sis. Robin Newton are excited to bring their passion for ministry and their love for God's Word to Prairie View Community Church. Reverend Joshua and Sis. Christina have been an integral part of our church family for several years, sharing in the journey of faith alongside the Newtons and the rest of our congregation. Their commitment to our community shines through their involvement in reopening Prairie View to serve our neighbors once more.
Beyond their spiritual endeavors, Reverend Joshua and Sis. Christina are pillars of the Ada, Oklahoma community. Together, they own a real estate company, bringing their expertise and dedication to enriching the lives of those around them. Their blended family of four daughters is a testament to their love, unity, and commitment to family values.
Driven by a deep-seated desire to give back, Reverend Joshua and Sis. Christina have long carried a burden for the Stratford area. They are thrilled to have the opportunity to minister to a community that is close to their hearts and to extend the love of God to those in need.
As founding board members of PVCC, Reverend Joshua and Sis. Christina play vital roles in shaping our church's vision and direction. Christina serves as our dedicated Secretary, bringing her organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth operations within our community.
Reverend Joshua leads worship with passion and fervor, creating an atmosphere of spiritual connection and inspiration. His heart for teaching young people reflects his commitment to nurturing the next generation of believers. Together, they lend their talents as Sound & Media Coordinators for our sanctuary, enhancing our worship experience and fostering meaningful connections within our congregation.
Reverend Joshua holds a general license from the Apostolic Faith Fellowship, bringing a wealth of spiritual insight and wisdom to our community. He also holds a Master of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to lead with excellence and compassion, and is also a veteran of the United States Navy, having served our country honorably for just over 8 years.

Welcome to Prairie View Community Church! Meet Bro. Chris and Sis. Kayla Putman, a dedicated couple with a heart for service and a passion for building community.
Bro. Chris and Sis. Kayla have been an integral part of the Newton church family for nearly a decade. Their strong ties with the Newtons and the Franklins, coupled with their deep commitment to their faith, led them to serve as founding members of Prairie View Community Church. Their enthusiasm and dedication have been instrumental in laying the foundation for our church's growth and success.
Chris brings a strong work ethic and a wealth of skills to our community. As the owner of his own home remodeling company, he possesses the ability to tackle just about any project with precision and expertise. Chris's leadership was invaluable in spearheading the remodel of our church, from painting and woodwork to flooring and beyond. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of our church's renovation.
Kayla, a devoted wife and mother, works tirelessly in the medical field, balancing her full-time job with her commitment to supporting her husband and serving their community. Despite her demanding schedule, Kayla remains by Chris's side, offering her unwavering support and assistance in any way she can. Her dedication and selflessness are a testament to her commitment to her family and her faith.
Together, Chris and Kayla serve as founding board members of PVCC, playing pivotal roles in shaping the vision and direction of our church. Their love for their community and their dedication to spreading the message of hope and love are evident in everything they do.
Outside of their church involvement, Chris and Kayla are proud parents to a blended family of five children and doting grandparents to one grandchild. Their love for family and their commitment to building a strong foundation of faith and love extend beyond the walls of our church, enriching the lives of all who know them.
